Where you stay

Four houses.
No shared corridor.

You rent the building, not a room inside it. Your own kitchen, your own living room, no other guests in the house — whether there are four of you or twenty. Each has its own page on Novasol, with the calendar and the price.

Skogenhytta and Røroshytta stand on Tekna by Koppang — the same hillside where Nordstu is now planning a cabin field of its own, 50 to 80 cabins. About Cabinfield

Nordstu Gård

This is not a backdrop.

The yard you stay on is a working farm. The cattle are out for much of the year, the calves arrive in winter and spring, and the beef is sold under the name Elvheim Angus.

The farm shop

The beef from the pasture you are looking at.

The beef from the cattle at Nordstu is sold under the name Elvheim Angus. It is at the meat counter in Meny — and it is here on the yard, a few steps from the barn it came from.

The shop has no opening hours. It is open when the hosts are on the farm, for as long as the stock lasts. Vipps or card.

Also: spices, barbecue sauces and a few things for the house. All of it bought straight from the farmer.

Tap what you would like above and we write the e-mail for you. We reply with the price, the weight and when you can collect it at the farm. You pay by Vipps or card when you collect.

Hall and conference

70 square metres,
50 chairs, and a marquee
when it's needed.

The same room takes a wedding and a quarterly meeting. The difference is the table plan — and that your guests can sleep in the house next door.

  • 70 m², seating up to 50 people
  • Newly built bar and a kitchen for catering
  • Projector, screen, whiteboard and flip chart
  • Table settings for 80
  • Can be combined with a large marquee in the garden

Booked for weddings, confirmations, christenings, anniversaries, family reunions, memorials, Christmas parties, company events and courses. The main house sleeps 20, so your guests can stay on the yard.

The marquees go up on the lawn between the main house and the hall, so the party and the beds are on the same yard.

The area

Stor-Elvdal,
around the yard.

The Glomma runs through the valley, Rondane lies to the west, and the forest starts on the far side of the field.

Trout, grayling and pike. In the summer of 2026 the farm hosted competitors at the Fly Fishing World Championship.

Small-game hunting

Hunting cards are bought through iNatur. Elk and roe deer hunting is let to fixed parties.

The world's second-largest moose statue stands by the road north of Koppang.

Hunting

A hunting stay for your whole party.

Big-game hunting on the farm's own land is let to regular hunting teams. But if you are coming to Stor-Elvdal for small-game hunting, or your party needs somewhere to stay during the hunting season in the Østerdalen valley, we put a stay together for you. Tell us what you have in mind and we reply with a proposal and a price.

  • A whole house for the party, with kitchen and sauna
  • Help with licences and ground for small game
  • Dogs are welcome
  • No fixed package — price by arrangement

«Et super fantastisk sted. Det skal opleves. Gammel herregård, oser af sjæl — med masser af moderne / antik indretning. Den smukkeste udsigt til bjergene. Skønt poolområde, overdækket grill / lounge område.»
